Brush & Floss – bleach only works on clean teeth! Crowns, fillings, or veneers will NOT whiten.
Load the Retainer – Express one thin, continuous bead of gel approximately halfway up the inside of the retainer covering the front 8-10 teeth. You should use no more than 1/4 of a syringe per tray.
Insert the Retainer – seat your retainers firmly against your teeth. Wear-time depends on how sensitive your teeth are. Start with 1 hour per day. If you do not have sensitivity, increase wear-time up to 4 hours per day. Do not eat, drink, or swallow the gel.
*Sensitivity is the most common side effect. If you experience sensitivity, decrease your bleach time or bleach every other day. If you experience any significant sensitivity, stop treatment and talk to your orthodontist.
Remove and clean your retainer – use a soft toothbrush to clean any excess gel off your teeth. Rinse your mouth twice, being sure not to swallow rinsed gel. Clean your retainer with a soft brush and cool tap water. Store your retainer in its case.
